RIO DE JANEIRO — At the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Tunisia’s Marwa Amri made wrestling history.
Competing in the women’s 58 kg division, Amri earned an Olympic bronze medal, becoming the first African woman to win an Olympic medal in wrestling. Her achievement also marked a significant moment for women’s wrestling in Tunisia and across the continent.
