Iran crowned U23 Greco-Roman World Champion in Novi Sad
Team Iran finished the year in style by winning the 2025 U23 Greco-Roman World Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia. Led by head coach Hassan Rangraz, the Iranian squad secured three gold medals, one silver, and two bronze medals, earning 143 team points to capture the overall championship title.

82 kg: Alexandrin Gutu (MDA) defeated Ruslan Abdiev (UKR); Abolfazl Mohammadi (IRI) took bronze.
87 kg: Gholamreza Farkhi (IRI) overcame Ivan Chmyr (UKR) in the final.
97 kg: Yehor Yakushenko (UKR) was crowned champion.
