Wrestling Podium Radio was founded as an independent platform to document wrestling with depth and perspective — beyond results and headlines.
My work in wrestling spans media, officiating, and international coverage. Since 2015, I have been involved in wrestling media through radio and podcasting, launching the Voice of Podium in 2017 and developing long-form storytelling around the sport.
Wrestling Referee
Alongside media work, I am a national wrestling referee in Canada and an international beach wrestling referee. This dual perspective — inside competition and outside it — shapes how WPR approaches storytelling and analysis. As the first Iranian woman to become a national wrestling referee in Canada, my path reflects both access to the sport and the barriers that still exist within it.
Journalism & Coverage
As a journalist, I have covered one Olympic Games, seven World Wrestling Championships, and three World Cups — building direct experience in how the sport is seen, reported, and often overlooked.
Wrestling Podium Radio is built on that combined experience, documenting wrestling as it is practiced, experienced, and understood from within.
